Game-day comms

Everything live happens in GameChanger

Most game-day communication happens in GameChanger — schedules, lineups, score updates and last-minute changes. Make sure you're in the Harborlight Honey Badgers team there. This page is for the evergreen stuff — what to expect, uniforms, teams and who to call.

Open GameChanger

What to expect

How the weekend actually goes

The weekend starts Friday night

There's an opening ceremony Friday evening, and sometimes you'll play a game that night too. Plan to be there.

The schedule lands the week before

Nobody knows game times until about a week out. Watch GameChanger — that's where it shows up first.

Line up childcare for the whole weekend

Even when we're not playing, we're hanging out at the fields. Cover the full weekend if you can — when else do you get to do that?

Invite your people

Bring close friends and family. MomBaller parents especially love watching their adult children play sports again after all these years.

Give back together

MomBall Bootstraps Drive

We’re collecting bar soap and body wash for Bootstraps. Bring donations to Harborlight, or order directly from the Amazon wish list.

What to pack

What to bring for the weekend

You'll be at the fields for most of three days. Pack like you're camping at the ballpark.

Sun protection
Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat. The dugout has limited shade.
Layers
September evenings in Beverly can get cool. Bring a sweatshirt and rain layer just in case.
Lawn chairs or blanket
Bleacher space fills up fast. A camp chair makes the between-game hours much nicer.
Water bottle
Stay hydrated. There may be concessions, but a refillable bottle is your friend.
Snacks
Games can run long and food lines can be slow. Granola bars, fruit, sandwiches — whatever keeps you going.
Cash / Venmo ready
Concessions, merch, and any last-minute team stuff are easier with both.
Phone charger / battery
You'll be on GameChanger, taking photos, and coordinating rides. Battery drains fast.

Parking & arrival

Getting to the field

Harry Ball Field has a small parking lot, so plan ahead.

Carpool or get dropped off

The lot fills up quickly, especially on Saturday. Rideshare or a family drop-off helps everyone.

Street parking nearby

Look for spots on the surrounding neighborhood streets, but read signs carefully and be respectful of residents.

Arrive early

Give yourself extra time before your first game to park and walk over.

Uniforms

What to wear

Every player gets 1 Honey Badgers t-shirt and 1 cream hat covered by the team funds. The jersey is provided too — just keep the rest simple and comfortable.

Official Honey Badgers jersey
Provided to players. Wear it for every game.
Team t-shirt
1 per player, covered by team funds. Not the same as the optional merch preorder tees.
Cream hat
1 per player, covered by team funds. The cream hat in the merch store is extra or for family/friends.
Bottoms
Athletic shorts or pants in a neutral color (black/navy/gray preferred).
Socks
Team socks — details coming soon.
Cleats or sneakers
Molded cleats recommended; sneakers are fine if that's what you've got.
